Team news  ION announces new COD4 team

The Independent Offensive Network (ION) announces that we have picked up the COD4 team known as Cliche. Ever since the release of our previous Finnish COD4 team we have been on the prowl to find a suitable new team. With the acquiring of Cliche we expect once again to gain foothold in preinvite. The team exists out of two UK players; Joshua “davsie” Jones (former Who? & Zedek/102) and Max “ChemisTT” Edwards (former DreamStyle, vdesire, Zedek/102), two Belgians; Dennis “DENNN” Van Esser (former OVERLOAd EMS) and Jelle “Swift” Raeymaeckers (former Omega, EPS) and one Dutch guy; former dF1ne and dvoted player Sacha “Blaxer” Hoogland.The team is active on ED/ESL/ESH and is expected to have an offline appearance at FOM and the VN UK LAN later this year. The ION lineup will be as followed: Sacha “Blaxer” Hoogland Joshua “davsie” Jones Max “ChemisTT” Edwards Dennis “DENNN” Van Esser Jelle “Swift” Raeymaeckers Statement Joshua “davsie” Jones: "After scouting about for a while we came in contact with Jimmy who presented an offer we couldn’t refuse, so as of now we’re proud to be known as part of the “ION” organisation. We’re ecstatic about finding a place in ION and will be looking to represent them at future LAN’s. ^_^. Big shout out to my Cookie Monster (He knows who he is), Maxy, Drewsly, soakR, Omega, Tom, Rock & Robbeh, SPARKZ & Plums. Also a huge thank you to Jimmy". Statement "JiMmYION": "Since the folding of the last ION COD4 team at the end of May, we have been on the lookout for a new team to represent us. And as usually the case we have taken our time to look around. We consider ourselves a good place for upcoming academy/preinvite teams whom we provide a surrounding that lets them focus solely on their games. In return we expect teams to be clean, support VN/ESL and have a desire to attend LANs. When Dennis contacted me last week to discuss Cliche to join ION i became interested as they sounded like nice guys who would fit the profile. Asking around helped me find out who these guys were and gave me a reassurance that this would be a good pick. Thank you to everyone who showed interest in ION and the people who helped me out finding and checking teams. Offcourse a big welcome to the new ION COD4 team". Welcome to ION guys

Community News  The ION movie section

The ION movie section is online. Currently we are in the process of locating all movies presenting ION between 1998 and 2010. Not only team games but also movies showing one ION (former or present) member in particular or community movies including ION finest players are eligible for our movie section. Click here for the current collection covering games such as QuakeLive, CS 1.6 and COD4. Just to give you an example of what to expect:
